Hi, I’m Yoshi — and I’ve been obsessed with Japan for over 40 years. Not the postcard version. The real one.

I grew up eating miso soup before I knew what “umami” meant, watching anime before it was cool, and discovering that Japan’s “weird” side is actually its most fascinating. Now I write about all of it — the food, the culture, the festivals, and the gloriously strange things that never make it into travel guides.

My Japanese isn’t perfect. My photos aren’t professional. But my love for this country? Absolutely unbeatable.
